Our scenic outdoor ice rink opens April 13th and whether you’re a seasoned skater or just a beginner, you’ll have a great time on the ice having fun and keeping fit! If you need a little help, group or individual lessons are available with our friendly skate instructors.
When it’s time to relax, soak in the stunning lake and mountain views from one of our three hot pools. Shaped like the lakes of the Mackenzie Region, the pools feature therapeutic jets and range from 36 – 39 degrees Celsius.
The crystal-clear water is sourced from a mountain stream near Tekapo and is exceptionally pure. Our steam and sauna rooms will help you detox and there’s a cold plunge pool too.
Try our Aqua Play Area for a refreshing alternative with 2 cooler pools (28 – 33 degrees Celsius) and fun, interactive water features.
One pool is shallow and perfect for children to play in while the other pool is deeper for swimming and diving. If you need some “me time”, enjoy a revitalising facial or massage at our Day Spa.
Each therapy room features beautiful lake and mountain views, and we also offer a full range of beauty treatments, from manicures and pedicures to waxing and tinting.
Our Day Spa sells the organic cosmeceutical, Moana Skincare, which is made in New Zealand. Try a package deal for the best value as they include the hot pools and steam/sauna rooms.
Refuel at our Tahr Bar & Cafe and enjoy the amazing lake and mountain views or sit by our open fire in winter with a hot chocolate or mulled wine! Choose from fresh lunch options like house-made salads, paninis and bagels. Our talented baristas serve excellent coffee and all our delectable sweet treats are made fresh onsite.

Operating from Tekapo Springs in the heart of the Aoraki Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve, this is the only guided star gazing and hot pools tour in New Zealand.
The tour is 2 hours long: the first half is a guided introduction to our amazing night skies with a unique combination of astronomy and storytelling.
The second half of the tour takes place in a 38-degree hot pool; relax on a floating hammock and feel like you’re soaking in the stars as you explore the beauty of the universe.
Tekapo Springs is open 364 days a year from 10am to 9pm.Tekapo Star Gazing tours run 363 nights a year; start times vary by season to ensure the darkest skies.
