TDM Homes specialises in designing and building innovative and sustainable modular homes. Its modular homes are built in a purpose-built factory and delivered on sites throughout New Zealand within 14 weeks.
“Whether our customers live in the city and are looking for a sustainable urban solution, or they reside in country and coastal areas, we have a range of modular homes to suit their every need,” says TDM Homes founder and director Trent Montgomery.
“From beach houses or granny flats to one, two, three, or four-plus bedroom homes, we have more than 40 standard modular homes to choose from.
“We pride ourselves in offering the flexibility of amending designs to suit client requirements, or even adapting a project to our designer homes building system.”
TDM Homes can build anything to spec and believes a dream home does not have to cost more. “One way we stay true to this statement and differentiate our offering is by providing a high level of standard inclusions.
“We are renowned for providing a variety of standard inclusions that ensure our clients’ projects stay to budget, with the full value included.”
Once decided on a home design, TDM Homes provides clients with a detailed estimate.
If required, the team will visit a site to evaluate the proposed orientation, site access, location of site-connections, and any other requirements. Once the building permit has been issued, the construction phase starts at TDM Homes’ purposebuilt Cambridge facility. This phase generally takes between 10 and 16 weeks.
“Our customer care team provides clients with regular updates on the progress of their home and they are welcome to call in at any time to see their new home taking shape.”
TDM Homes’ production team will construct the new home to approximately 95% completion with a few minor aspects left to finalise onsite.
In the weeks prior to the construction phase being finalised, TDM Homes’ site team will prepare the footings and connections on site and prepare the home for delivery.
In the last four to six weeks, the finishing touches are added along with any additional decks or optional extras. Together with clients, TDM Homes makes a final inspection to check all details are completed to their satisfaction.
TDM Joinery has been manufacturing joinery since June 2016, producing both residential joinery and commercial joinery for a range of individuals, construction, and TDM designer and modular builds.
“Be it contemporary, modern, small or large our designers can help our clients refine their ideas into the best practical solution for their new home,” says Trent.
“An initial consultation followed by detailed drawings and renders gives them the opportunity to visualise their new kitchen before selecting hardware, colours and bench top materials. “To date we have had enquiries all around the country and overseas as far as Rarotonga,” Trent says.
“This has led to us having to conduct research into shipping company options in order to now achieve the overseas demand.” National demand is best measured through the 5500 people who follow TDM Homes’ Facebook page.
“We’ve currently got homes going to Taupo, Auckland’s Waiheke Island, and some other coastal towns.”
