Extensive planting of mature specimen trees and shrubs sympathetic to the surrounding environment give the development a unique feel, says David. The development also includes a mandarin grove, landscaped lakes and Totara healing garden.
Around 80% of the boundary at Quail Ridge Country Club is Department of Conservation reserve and a planned foot bridge over the river will give residents easy access to the Bay of Islands Golf Club and Kerikeri township cafes, shops and restaurants.
Quail Ridge Country Club is five kilometres from the centre of Kerikeri and a 30-minute drive from Paihia. Stages one to three, comprising 84 homes, are nearing completion. Construction on the clubhouse is due to begin shortly.

A grand entrance will lead to sumptuously decorated recreational areas including a fireside lounge, restaurant, club bar, mini theatre, library, gymnasium, heated indoor swimming pool and spa pools, billiard room and outdoor entertainment area with gas barbeques. Quail Ridge Country Club will also include a petanque area, bowling green, tennis courts and bandstand.
Other facilities include a three level state of the art care facility designed to provide different levels of care and rehabilitation, a hairdresser, beauty specialist, chiropodist and complementary daily transport to Kerikeri.
David says that good opportunities still exist at Quail Ridge Country Club with four homes currently available for sale from completed homes to those under construction. The homes offer a variety of designs and price points.
