Otorohanga pump, irrigation, and effluent management company Pumpn understands the dairy sector is a forever evolving and changing industry, which is why the company prides itself on offering farmers superior systems which are designed with the future in mind.
Pumpn is a proud supplier of Yardmaster products, and has recently been named 2018 Yardmaster Certified Dealer of Year.
“This is a prestigious award as we are judged on our service and sales against 72 other dealers throughout Australasia,” says Pumpn founding director Shane Phillips.
“We are proud suppliers of Yardmaster as we are very particular about what products we use and sell to our customers, and when a reputable supplier like Yardmaster recognises us as being Dealer of the Year, it is awesome to know we are also doing them proud.”
Pumpn started 15 years ago as a small team of four water technicians and engineers, and has now grown to a staff of 18, working out of a purpose built facility on Turongo Street.
“I’m extremely proud of the team I have behind me and am thankful for their support, dedication, and hard work,” Shane says. “Without them, awards like the one we have just received wouldn’t be possible.”
Pumpn is forever learning, growing, and evolving to keep up with the ever changing dairy sector, and the team is excited for what the future holds in regards to farming and sustaining the environment.
“When I started this business 15 years ago, effluent was a very small part our business and now it is the core of it,” Shane says.
“We have become leaders in our field for pumps, irrigation, and effluent management, and this stems from being able to provide a complete service to our clients from designing the system, manufacturing a lot of the products, and the after care of service we provide.”
Pumpn strives to offer the best products and services, and Shane is often designing revolutionary products to fill gaps in the market.

The effluent products Torpedo, G-Valve, Easy Skid, Vibe Panel, Sp Stirrer, and Divert Alert have all been created in order that Pumpn customers can have the most effective and very best quality pumping and effluent systems on their farms.
“This is the main reason we have such a high volume of system installations and are now exporting the products around New Zealand, and more recently into Australia,” Shane says.
During the past three years, Pumpn has made use of the Feildays and other effluent expos as a platform to showcase its products.
“This is a great way to market our products and services to such a large volume of people all in one place,” Shane says.
“We are always surprised with orders that keep coming through even up to a year later. We recently sold a Torpedo over the phone to a client in Invercargill who met us at the Fieldays nearly a full year ago. We look forward to being part of this year’s Fieldays as they celebrate their 50th year.”
