In the latest edition of NZ Dairy, Donovan Croot and his fiancée, Sophie Cookson share milk 190 cows on 91 hectares in Manutahi, South Taranaki. Now pushing towards a 700kg Milk Solids average, Donovan managed to overcome a major obstacle prior to his foray into farming. Meanwhile, Bay of Plenty farmers Alan and Wendy Law’s pasture quality has greatly improved after reducing their nitrogen use by a whopping 75 percent.
