New Tauriko buildings fit for purpose
Designed by First Principles Architects the Tauriko Convenience Centre is made from structural steel, precast concrete panels and coloursteel wall cladding.

ILine Construction has just completed the Tauriko Convenience Centre situated on the corner of the main spine road through the Tauriko Business Estate and on the corner of Taurikura Drive and Paerangi Place.
“It’s a good looking development in a great location and we’ve had lots of positive comments,” says iLine Construction project manager Jerem McLay.
The project, which iLine Construction started building in November last year, consists of two buildings – an early childcare centre and seven retail outlets ranging between 50-100sqm.
There are also 47 car parking spaces for convenient access to the centre.
Designed by First Principles Architects, a company that iLine Construction has worked with previously, the Tauriko Convenience Centre is made from structural steel, precast concrete panels and coloursteel wall cladding.
First Principles aimed to soften the strong form of the building with the use of textured precast concrete to create a warm and welcoming environment for small businesses.
iLine Construction worked through the Christmas break to deliver the project in a timely manner for the developer – Focus on Property.
The outlets are being advertised for lease by Colliers International seeking a mix of cafes and other food retailers, real estate offices, medical facilities or lunchbars.
“Our team have really enjoyed working on this project and it’s been great to see it all come together.  The design and layout have been well considered and the childcare centre is going to be a great hub for the neighbouring tenancies,” says Jerem.
