Highland Helicopters has a base at Taieri Airfield, Dunedin. The company was recently established in 2016 by Paul and Kirsty Williams. Chief pilot and company CEO Paul Williams’ experience includes agricultural operations, passenger transport, fire fighting, Papua New Guinea long-lining and high altitude operations.

These include scenic flights over Dunedin and the spectacular Otago Peninsula, scenic flights north to the famous Moeraki Boulders and Fleur’s Place Restaurant, south to the beautiful Catlins rainforest and flights through to private Central Otago Vineyards.
Flights to view Hooker’s sea lions, NZ fur seals and the rare yellow-eyed penguins can also be arranged and if clients have specific places they would like to see, Highland Helicopters can customise a flight accordingly.
For the more adventurous clients they offer adrenaline based day trips, including long range rifle shooting, Highlands Motorsport Park packages and flights to AJ Hackett Bungy in Queenstown.
Their Bell 206L-1 LongRanger is particularly quiet and comfortable, with Bose noise-cancelling headsets and leather club seating. It can seat six passengers, one alongside the pilot and 5 in the cabin.
If clients are after a particularly unique experience, Highland Helicopters offer the opportunity of a hands on trial flight alongside an instructor in their Guimbal Cabri G2 helicopter.
Highland Helicopters also provides agricultural and commercial services, such as precision lifting, photography and guided hunting trips.
