Specialised milking and dairy parlours, effl uent systems and feed storage are some of the services provided by Don Chapman Waikato.

Specialising in a range of projects from farm dairies and infrastructure, commercial construction, to residential buildings, Don Chapman Waikato has the knowledge and expertise to manage projects from start to finish.
“By applying our proven project methodology and construction knowledge, we are suitably qualified to work on a wide range of projects,” says managing director Shanan White.
“Our style is to work closely with our clients on their building projects, ensuring the final product is exactly what they expected and contracted us for. With our own high building and finishing standards we simply won’t compromise, and neither should they have to.”
With a staff of 18, Don Chapman Waikato has a construction manager who has been with the company for 25 years, a quantity surveyor who has been with the company for 19 years, and a few of his builders who have been with the company for more than 10 years.
Don Chapman Waikato is suitably qualified and experienced to work on a wide variety of projects, including residential house building, renovations and extensions, industrial and commercial construction, specialised milking and dairy parlours, farm buildings, and concrete structures, such as effluent systems and feed storage.
In recent years, Don Chapman Waikato has been fl at out working in the dairy industry, particularly busy building replacement dairy sheds and extensions and effluent system upgrades, but the company’s expertise has also been requested by the commercial sector on various earthquake strengthening projects, including a sizable one for the University of Waikato in Hamilton.
Shanan has owned Don Chapman Waikato since February 2014, when he bought out Don Chapman Builders, the business his building company, High Calibre Construction, had been contracting to since 2007.
Shanan has completed several dairy shed projects, including the dairy complex constructed for Ag Research at Tokanui, which consisted of a 60 bail rotary as well as a 20 bail rotary under the same roof, a large computer room/laboratory, covered vet area with herringbone pit and fold down platform, silage bunker, feed pad with floodwash, effluent drying area, and large sand wedge.
Meanwhile, Don Chapman retained ownership of his Chapman Dairy, specialist in the design and construction of farm dairies and other buildings necessary for high producing dairy farms.
Don Chapman Waikato is one of Chapman Dairy’s licensed construction teams, with another three teams based in Taupo, Taranaki, and Canterbury. In 2017, Chapman Dairy celebrated the build of its 500th Chapman Dairy parlour, and has now completed more than 520.
“I don’t think there’s another dairy shed builder in the country that comes even close to that,” Shanan says.
“Whether you need a new home, industrial or commercial facility, farm building, Chapman Dairy parlour, or just to carry out some renovations or extensions, we have the experience, staff, and skills to provide you with a cost effective and professional construction job.”
