David Reid Homes Bay of Islands has just opened a brand new show home at 32 Finch Street at Marsden Cove Marina. The 424 square metre floorplan includes four bedrooms, two living areas, two bathrooms and large three car garage.

Franchise owner Shane Murray says that the design was dictated by the L shaped site to best utilise the land as well as take advantage of sun. response has been overwhelmingly positive, he says.
“People say it is a stand out build and unlike anything they’ve seen before. To us it’s just our standard of quality that we achieve on every project.”
Shane and wife Renee lead an experienced team that is passionate about delivering quality, well constructed, architectural homes in the Northland area.
Shane is from an engineering background and was involved for a number of years in the building of Marsden oil refinery.
He has been part of the David Reid Homes team since 2008 and has been involved in the infrastructure management, site management and sales of all of the franchise’s gold medal award winning homes at the Registered Master Builders House of the Year competition.
Renee has been in the building industry for 17 years and with David Reid Homes since 2005.
She takes on the role of office and contracts manager as well as assisting clients with the interior details of their homes. Murray says that David Reid Homes Bay of Islands specialises in design and build.
“We don’t build anything from the plan range. We are about architectural designed homes to suit the individual’s lifestyle and the site,” he explains.
The franchise works with Northland’s leading design companies including Arcline from Kaitaia. People can also gain ideas and inspiration from one of the 40 plans in the David Reid plan range.

Marina gaining momentum
“Based on their wish list we will do a pencil drawing of their home, positioned on their section so that they can see the floor plan and perspective. “This is our free service to our clients and is without any obligation,” says Murray.

When the home is completed the company also offers a complimentary 12-month home maintenance plan which involves a member of the team visiting the home to inspect and ensure the home is meeting all of the client’s expectations.
