Hamilton’s Rostrevor Apartments, due for completion later this year, offer urban living at its best, says developer Chris Dinan.

Rostrevor Apartments in Hamilton is due for completion later this year and has already attracted keen interest from a variety of purchasers from those approaching retirement to first home buyers, says developer Chris Dinan “High quality inner city living is becoming very popular with multiple generations.
Retirees are looking for something they can lock up and leave. Sometimes they sell their home then have an apartment and a beach home to enjoy.
“The younger generation is looking to get into their first home and inner city living is very attractive to them,” he says. Construction started on Rostrevor Apartments in September last year and the project is earmarked for completion in November.
Located corner of Vialou Street and Rostrevor Street the architecturally designed project offers urban living at its best, says Chris, with close proximity to bus and train links, shops, supermarkets and cafes.
He says the exterior of aluminium weatherboard and Hinuera stone is a modern take on a classic “High quality inner city living is becoming very popular with multiple generations.

The project offers a range of 15 two or three bedroom apartments from 90-150 square metres. Each apartment includes two bathrooms, garaging and a deck with glass balustrades from the master bedroom and spacious living area.
The fit-out is high end, for example kitchens are fully tiled and come with stone bench tops and stainless steel appliances. Bathrooms are likewise fully tiled and luxurious.
While the apartments have been popular with home buyers Chris says that investors have also appreciated the return the apartments have to offer especially with the fantastic location they are in.
The apartments enjoy a variety of views including Hinemoa Park, Waikato Stadium, Seddon Park, Mt Pirongia and the city.
CBD Developments was established in 2013 by Chris and brother Ben who offer a combined 44 years experience in the construction industry.
Growing up in Hamilton they completed their trade in New Zealand before gaining experience working in London in project management on large projects.
Their experience in high rise developments, shop fit-outs and high-end specialised houses has been brought to CBD Developments.
Having grown up in Hamilton they are passionate about growing the city and helping people to enjoy all the great opportunities in the region including parks, mountain ranges, walking, hiking and cycling.
Because of its central location, Chris says that Hamilton is also the perfect base for exploring the wider region and central North Island.
And they say because Hamilton is New Zealand’s fourth largest city it offers great shopping, a vibrant arts scene, top restaurants and a bustling nightlife.
“The city is easy to explore – people can take a stroll through the award-winning Hamilton Gardens, visit SkyCity Casino, soak up some history at the Waikato Museum, discover the animal encounters at Hamilton Zoo or relax with a picnic at Hamilton Lake,” says Chris.
Rostrevor Apartments is not CBD Developments first project. It completed a 10-unit apartment complex at 521 Anglesea St in October last year and an apartments-cafe combo in Vialou St was finished in July 2016.
The brothers tend to focus on one development at a time and Chris says there will be another development in the pipeline once they have completed Rostrevor Apartments.
