Tauranga display centre proving popular
The new Versatile Tauranga display centre at 30-32 Fifteenth Avenue has proved incredibly popular, say franchise owners Luanne and Garry Bettelheim. Its opening in May 2019 was the culmination of a vision the couple had when they purchased the franchise four years ago to display the varied and extensive Versatile offering to their customers.
The site is around 1000sqm and offers a three bedroom 80sqm dwelling that functions as the Versatile Tauranga office where customers can come and chat to the team and be guided through the process of their build. Luanne says the office dwelling has been incredibly popular with customers wanting to add a secondary dwelling onto their property.
“Western Bay Council regulations stipulate a secondary dwelling can be no more than 60sqm and our team is well versed with the local council requirements and we have plans that fit offering two bedrooms,” she says.
There is also a 9m x 6m sleepout on the site with double garage, bedroom and ensuite, which is another popular option for those wanting to add additional accommodation to their property. It is clad in flaxpod (a liquorice black colour) with white trim demonstrating a modern contemporary look.
The display centre also contains a 6m x 7.2m double garage and a two bay farm building that is 3.6m high. The display centre is open Monday to Friday 8am-5pm and Saturday 9am-12pm. It complements the Versatile Tauranga 240 square metre show home at 81 Te Ranga Memorial Drive, which boasts four bedrooms, two bathrooms and two living areas.
Luanne says the lodge theme of the design offers home buyers something different with Riverstone detailing on the outside and an outdoor fireplace made from Linea weatherboard. The spec is high end and the home has been luxuriously fitted out with stand-alone bath, fully tiled bathroom and ensuite and high-end kitchen.
“Visitors are surprised by how upmarket the show home is and have said it is refreshing to see something different that is still a timeless classic design,” she says adding that Versatile Tauranga won bronze at the 2019 Master Builders House of the Year competition in the new home $600,000-$750,000 category for the Bay of Plenty/Central Plateau region.
Luanne and Garry bring a long history of development to the franchise. Garry brings 30 years experience in the building industry operating his own residential building companies.
Luanne has 25 years’ experience in a variety of sale roles and focuses on this key aspect of the business.Versatile Tauranga offers a range of plans, can build from clients’ own plans or offer a complete design and build option.
A key point of difference is that Versatile Tauranga offers a complementary concept design free of charge. The other clear advantage is that Versatile Tauranga can undertake the whole project for the customer – home, garage, minor dwelling etc meaning that the customer only has to work with one company for their entire home build.
