Wow factor: Another award winner for Stonewood Homes, this 274 square metre four bedroom, three bathroom home includes a covered deck with drop down screens.

Stonewood Homes East & South Auckland continues to grow in the Beachlands area, with a big focus on building beautiful homes for clients in the ever-expanding district, says franchise business manager Jean Dougherty.

She says that the pressure for more housing in the Auckland area means that the city is now sprawling into the outer lying suburbs such as Beachlands.

Stonewood Homes East & South Auckland has a number of new home builds currently underway in Beachlands as the area has become popular due to the new Pohutukawa Coast Shopping Centre and the fact that Beachlands is just a 35 minute ferry ride from downtown Auckland.

Stonewood Homes East & South Auckland won awards for its Beachlands show home and a home built in the area at the 2017 Registered Master Builders House of the Year competition.

The show home won a gold award and was named category award winner for the Gib Showhome Award in the Auckland/Northland region.

The 223 square metre home is divided into two distinct wings: a classic kitchen flanked by formal and family lounges and a wing, which includes a master retreat with ensuite and three family bedrooms.

Two further bathrooms, a laundry, study nook and two-car carpeted garage complete the home.

Based on the company’s Pavilion plan, the home has a beach feel to fit in with the surrounding area. Good indoor-outdoor flow has been created leading to several different landscaped areas including an outdoor entertaining area with fireplace.

A home built for a customer won silver in the new home $550,000-$700,000 category.

Sitting on an elevated site, the two-storey 274 square metre home offers four bedrooms, three bathrooms and shared living areas.

With a mix of exterior cladding, including vertical cedar, the home has a modern look. Outdoor living no matter what the weather is possible with a covered timber deck with dropdown screens.

Jean says winning the awards demonstrates the focus that Stonewood Homes East & South Auckland places on extremely high levels of quality.

She says that the team at Stonewood Homes, from its in house staff to sub-contractors, have a wealth of knowledge and experience in the building field.

Showstopper: Stonewood Homes East & South Auckland carried off awards in the 2017 House of the Year competition for this classic Beachlands show home.

Supporting the local community in which Stonewood Homes East & South Auckland builds is an important part of the business philosophy, she says.

The franchise is the major supporter of the local Beachlands-Maraetai Rugby Football Club, sponsoring all the gear needed to keep 200 kids playing rugby.

As the region continues to grow, Stonewood Homes has just launched house and land packages in stage two of the popular Ryman Estate, Pukekohe with stage one already sold out.

The first Pukekohe show home has also just opened and is based on the company’s popular Wickcliffe design. Jean says that it is a house with ‘wow’ factor, both inside and out.

With its large, sunny living and dining areas, plus a separate formal lounge for cosy evenings or as a media room, it will work for the whole family, she says.

Stonewood Homes East & South Auckland also has plans underway to construct a second show home in the Ryman development in Pukekohe to showcase the diversity of the houses and plans it offers.
