New stages released at Kotata Heights
Kotata Heights is Whangarei’s newest suburb in the heart of the city.

Stages 3 and 4 of Kotata Heights have been pre-released with strong interest, says Clare Davies-Colley, director of Kotata Develop-ments and BDX Group, the main contractor for the development. Titles for both stages are expected to be issued by the end of 2019.

Stage 2 of the development has nearly sold out and the third and fourth stages of development include 60 residential sections, priced from $200,000. Kotata Heights is covenanted to ensure residents enjoy a neighbourhood, which is well maintained and well presented.

Homes will be constructed of new materials and be a minimum size of 100qsm plus garage Centrally located in the heart of Whangarei, Kotata Heights is situated within walking distance of Whangarei’s main shopping precincts and is close to schools, bus routes, Whangarei Hospital, NorthTec, and State Highway One. The prime residential area is elevated, sunny, with harbour and farmland views.

“There is high demand for more housing development in Whangarei, and Kotata Heights provides a high quality, centrally located, and affordable option for investors, people moving to Whangarei, and current Whangarei residents looking to upgrade,” she says.

“Whangarei’s economic development has had unprecedented growth over the past five years, and there is a high degree of optimism for this to continue.

This is a great time to invest in Whangarei and enjoy a truly balanced lifestyle.”She says Kotata Heights offers buyers a rare opportunity to have a brand new, affordable home, close to the town centre in a semi rural environment.

Kotata Heights has something to offer every-one,” she says. “It is suitable for young families and people who work in town.“There are a range of housing options from smaller sections to larger sections.”

Sections are available to purchase through partner building companies as house and land packages or individually directly to buyers. Clare says the development has been popular with a range of buyers and is also affordable for first home buyers. Some Kiwibuild projects have been completed for $480,000-500,000.

Development at Kotata Heights will continue for another two to three years, with six stages in total and more than 200 sections once completed. Stage four is set to be constructed this coming summer. It will also include a site for a child-care development catering to 100 children.“It won’t be really intensified, and many proper-ties will share a boundary with some green space,” Clare says.

“There is also an esplanade reserve running along Limeburners Creek across the bottom of Kotata Heights, and Anzac Park at the top.”She says that Whangarei offers spectacular beaches and walks, great coffee and food, golf-clubs, fishing, farmers’ market, gorgeous galleries, and fascinating museums.

Nowhere in the Whangarei District is more than 40 kilometres from the spectacular coastline. This has made Kotata Heights a desirable place to build a home.
