Clients of Kiwi Homes can make use of the company’s designers to build a home that suits the section, their needs and budget.

Operating as Kiwi Homes, managing directors Rhys Dulieu and Josh Chapman are movers and shakers within the world of residential building companies.

With a dream to build good quality affordable homes for Kiwi families, Rhys Dulieu established Upper Hutt based Kiwi Homes in 2014, attaching the tag line – ‘Family homes you’ll Love’.

Trade qualified with a wealth of building experience in New Zealand and Australia, Rhys built strong working relationships with contractors, suppliers and developers to bring his vision for the kiwi family home to reality.

Last year Josh Chapman joined the growing business, bringing with him valuable construction and business management skills.

Operating around the Wellington region and stretching to the Kapiti Coast, many homes are currently in progress, with several others awaiting Council sign-off.

The entrepreneurial owners’ ambition is to extend the Kiwi Homes brand nationwide, partnering with like-minded people at a regional level.

Staying true to the family home vision, Kiwi Homes are 3- 4 bedrooms with en-suite and double garaging.

Appealing to young couples looking to build their first family home, Kiwi Homes may equally suit empty-nesters looking to down size.

“We like to put nice touches into the home such as including a cedar wall facing on the outside or upgrading the front door to plasma glass,” says Josh.

“Every home comes standard with a granite or engineered stone kitchen bench, LED lights throughout, upgraded insulation, wide window openings, open plan living designs. Every house comes with a 10 year Homes First Guarantee provided by Builtin New Zealand.”

Josh says that one of the business key strengths is the quality of the building contractors engaged with the business and their shared motivation to deliver the clients dream family home.

He says that the contractor relationship is a cornerstone to Kiwi Homes business model and protecting that relationship is extremely important.

There are currently six building teams contracted to Kiwi Homes, with more wanting to join all the time.

Clients looking to build with Kiwi Homes can expect a down to earth approach from Rhys and Josh. “Rhys and I are leading the company from the front,” says Josh.

“We have consultants within the team but we do a large amount of the work with the client and keep a close eye on the build. We aim to under promise and over deliver in respect to time-lines.”

Clients looking to build with Kiwi Homes have the option of house and land packages or house only.

Working in conjunction with another group of builders.

Kiwi Homes will soon be able to offer house and land packages in the sought after Wallaceville Estate lifestyle subdivision near Upper Hutt, which is being developed by Gillies Real Estate Ltd.

“We’re really excited to be part of this development and acknowledge the positive relationship we have with developers like Malcolm Gillies,” says Josh.
