A strong presence in Kotata Heights
Generation Homes Northland has completed nine homes in Kotata Heights including three Kiwibuild homes. Generation Homes Northland owner David Skudder says that the builds demonstrate the ability of Generation Homes to fulfil the needs of all spectrums of the market – from entry level to more upmarket homes.
For example the Kiwibuild homes – 110sqm for two bedrooms and 122sqm for three bedrooms – were clad in brick with Linea weatherboard features, double glazed and fully insulated resulting in a high quality affordable home.He says that Kotata Heights has been a great subdivision to work in with developers capable of delivering what the market requires.
Key selling points have included the elevated sites with favourable outlook and close proximity to Whangarei city. He says that Generation Homes Northland is looking forward to the release of the next stages.
Generation Homes was started in 1997 by Tauranga electrician Graham Hockly and builder-business partner David Mansel. David Skudder says the partnership was forged on trust, an ethic of hard work, quality workmanship, integrity and providing value for money.
Today Generation Homes has grown to become one of New Zealand’s top ten residential construction companies by volume.A key point of difference is that Generation Homes is not a franchise system – all Generation Homes businesses are owned in a 50% partnership by the local owner/operator and Generation Homes New Zealand.
David became the Generation Homes Northland joint venture partner in 2010 after working as a builder for over 40 years. He is a Licensed Building Practitioner and member of New Zealand Certified Builders.
Generation Homes Northland employs a small dedicated team plus its own teams of contract builders, the majority of which are local. The company builds in the wider Bream Bay area including One Tree Point and Waipu.Generation Homes Northland has a range of plans, which can be adjusted as required.
The company only uses tried and trusted building materials and specialises in popular brick and tile construction. Also offered is a full design and build option.Generation Homes Northland is currently constructing a new show home at 88 Wairau Drive, Totara Parklands, where it is also offering house and land packages.
The over 200sqm show home is based on the Totara plan and features four bedrooms and a double garage. It is clad in white brick with Linea weatherboard and schist features setting it a notch above the usual family home in terms of design, says David.
He says that the new suburb has been developed as a place suited to families with a great community feeling, impressive landscaping, wide streets and a number of native plantings throughout, making Totara Parklands a desirable place to live. The show home will be open in February 2020.
House and land packages in the subdivision being offered by Generation Homes Northland range from approximately 600-750sqm sites. Although concept plans are offered customers can choose to adjust the plans or select a different plan from the range or undertake a complete design and build option.
The Totara Parklands show home complements the Generation Homes Northland show home in One Tree Point at 12 Kahukaka Road, 15 minutes north of Waipu, close to the waterways and marina of Marsden Cove.
David says that the subdivision offers easy access to all the best things Northland has to offer including a full service marina, Ruakaka Beach and some of the best fishing in the country. The show home is based on a new plan called ‘The Landing’ that features all the best things about a turn-key Generation Home with the house, drive-way and gardens all completed before move in.
The home features an open plan living and kitchen area with a covered outdoor space so people can enjoy the winterless North. The home also has four bedrooms or alternatively it can be set up as three bedrooms and a study. Generation Homes Northland is offering various house and land packages.
