Business Rural North – Summer 2025

Higgins Poultry Farm in Wanganui is experiencing steady growth, prompting the business to invest heavily in
state-of-the-art facilities and plan expansion targets. Wairarapa cattle stud KayJay Angus has become renowned for producing exceptional stock whose genetics are in high demand in both New Zealand and Australia. Strategic selection of genetics from HillCroft Angus and Waimai Romneys is helping Limestone Downs, a 3,200-hectare coastal property to adjust its ratio of sheep and beef.
