ARCO Group is busy working on a number of projects in Northland and north Auckland specialising in maximising value for clients by finding the most intelligent and creative ways to deliver their projects, says general manager Walter Hayman.

Th is has seen the company involved in some significant projects such as the recently completed new multi sports hub in Dargaville’s Memorial Park. The project was spear headed by the Kauri Coast Recreational Facilities Society.
When complete, the project will benefit more than 1600 people from 10 organisations across seven sports including football, hockey, netball, petanque, rugby, rugby league and tennis.
ARCO Group won the tender for the design and build project, which consists of building a 580 square meter facility incorporating four large changing rooms, public toilets, storage facilities for user groups, a canteen/coffee outlet and a tournament control office.
Walter says that liaising with various key stakeholders and delivering on their requirements while meeting the project’s budget was a key part of a successful outcome and something ARCO Group excels at.

One of ARCO Group’s current projects is completing the first stage of the Hihiaua Cultural Centre in Whangarei. This stage is for a mixed-use Maori cultural precinct that includes the building of a new waka shelter and launching gantry.
The new build will be completed alongside a refurbishment of the existing Herekino Street shed. The shed will include an area for the public to view cultural activities such as carving.
ARCO have recently completed a project at Kerikeri High School, a new gymnasium for Bay of Islands College, a new funeral parlour in Kerikeri, a new Mitre 10 in Kerikeri and a new classroom block along with the redevelopment of an existing block at Onerahi Primary School.
