Hamilton-based residential building company Anthem Homes, is looking forward to another very busy year, one which will include the company building a new showhome at the River Terraces subdivision, just north of Hamilton.
The subdivision affords a perfect situation for the new showhome, which will be completed in 2019. It will be a very different example, from the company’s current show home on River Road, Hamilton.
Last year continued to be one of growth for Anthem Homes and there were good reasons for this. A very strong family culture operates within the business. Each client is treated uniquely.
“We simply want to give each client something that they want and are proud of, and our planning processes ensure this happens”, says a spokesperson for Anthem Homes.
A great deal of attention is given to early discussions and input from clients who are asked to evolve their unique ‘wish-list’, before preliminary drawings are put down on paper. It’s a process that really works and engages the future home-owner right from the start.
“Once a wish-list has been grounded our design team step in and develop a design that meets these wants. “It’s a good way to then begin to hone specific details and balance the wish-list against the budget.”
The team at Anthem Homes straddles sales and marketing, design, an in-house estimator for pricing and quoting, three project management and two business directors, one overseeing sales and the other responsible for construction.
“We also offer free colour consultation which clients find really useful, to help them pinpoint their colour theme.”
Anthem Homes has sold two home and land packages at River Terraces, located on the northern boundary of Ngaruawahia Golf Course and next to the Waikato River. By the end of 2019, two more homes will be completed ready for sale.
“We’re pitching new homes for growing families, or perhaps those looking to retire in a quaint subdivision, with each of our designs creating point of difference by adding diverse cladding combinations to designs.”
Brent Glover, project manager at River Terraces says he’s found Anthem Homes’ capability to build something ‘out of the box’ in terms at design yet still pitch the value of the home at a level capable for first-home owners to buy, as outstanding.
“They seem to have a bit of flair about what they design and I’ve noticed their plans stand out from what you might expect to get at the prices they are marketing their homes for,” says Brent.
Once Stages 4 and 5 are completed in terms of earth-works and infrastructure Brent expects the subdivision will be almost completely, if not completely, sold out by the business-end of 2019.
“It’s a great environment, with the river and the cycle way from Ngaruawahia right through to Karapiro at our doorstep, and the golf-course next door.
I can understand why sections have been selling so well.” In time Council intends to build a large roundabout near the entrance to the golf-course to better manage the traffic flow in the area.
Anthem Homes is also developing a niche for building duplexes in and around Hamilton in key areas Council has allowed these dwellings to be constructed in.
Along with this the company has moved into building homes by helping owners subdivide their existing property so they can build new and provide a way of stepping up the property ladder.
The company builds within a 50km radius of Hamilton and has evolved a strong presence in Raglan, the sea-side town 45km west of Auckland. Future builds include new homes at Rangitahi, Raglan’s newest 117ha subdivision.
