Located only 7kms from the friendly township of Taumarunui, down the incredible Forgotten World Highway, lies Omaka Lodge, a boutique bed & breakfast venue in the heart of New Zealand’s Forgotten World.

The short drive out follows the Whanganui River and is a beautiful scenic tour at any time of year.

At the end of a tree lined driveway, you’ll find Omaka Lodge set amidst beautiful mature gardens.

Well positioned on the crest of a hill, with magnificent views of Herlihy’s Bluff and Mount Hikurangi, and a peek of Mount Ruapehu, this wonderful venue offers total privacy and seclusion.

Situated amidst farmland, the Lodge is surrounded by the sights and sounds of country life, where sheep and cattle dot the rolling green-pastured hills and valleys, echoing with the melodious sound of never-ending birdsong.

Our accommodation includes four private rooms, a self-contained apartment, and three campervan sites.
