Signature Homes Waikato/Hauraki is owned and operated by Andrew Buttimore, his brother Jamie and Keir Bettley.
The three are all born and bred Hamiltonians, are passionate about the region and are proud to have steered the company to success, building on the Signature brand over the last six years.
Andrew, the sales director, puts their outstanding success down to three pivotal factors – a great brand, a quality product, and most importantly a customer focus through every stage of their clients’ journey. “Our whole team work hard to provide our clients with a seamless, full service design and build experience.
“Most of our clients have never built before, so it can seem like a daunting process, but the Signature Homes systems we work with really aim to create an excellent and positive journey from start to finish,” Andrew says.
Signature Homes Waikato/Hauraki has been so busy that it is are now third in the Waikato for consents.
While the area it covers extends well beyond Hamilton’s boundaries, Andrew says they are currently deliberately focusing on developments in and around the city, and they have key relationships with developers in the region.
Signature Homes offers a wide suite of building options from designing and building unique architectural homes, to having one of the widest ranges of plans of any builder in the country for their clients to use as a starting point.
These plans include the Smart Collection for the more budget conscious, Pacific Collection which gives people more flexibility in the look and layout of their home and the Aspiring Collection, more a collection for inspiration designed around minimalist and architectural concepts.

Signature Homes Waikato/Hauraki is one of a select few housing companies who can offer house and land packages at River Terraces, a subdivision under construction just north of the city, next to Ngaruawahia Golf Course and adjacent to Waikato River. Keir Bettley, managing director, works closely with Developers in the region.
“We’ve developed a very positive relationship with the developer of River Terraces and have already built a couple of houses close to the Golf Course and there will be more house and land packages coming available soon.”
Andrew says the subdivision is proving a popular option given its unique location and proximity to The Base and Te Awa, just a 10 minute drive south.
A new show-home has opened at Kimbrae, another subdivision development at Rototuna on Hamilton’s northern boundary. Five house and land packages are also available right now.
Andrew describes the housing market as very buoyant and he’s observed a noticeable increase in interest from first home-buyers, along with those wanting to invest in high-end design and build homes.
Design and build still remains a core and popular option for home owners and Andrew says with a team of experienced designers and estimators alongside the directors carrying over 30 years combined experience in building and project man north central south agement there is no limit as to what can be built.
As Operations Director, Jamie looks after the building and production side of the business, and is passionate about giving clients the best build experience they can have.
“We’re very much about sitting down, listening to our clients, talking through things well to understand what they want and delivering the very best quality to budget that is possible.”
Anyone driving along Hamilton’s busy Te Rapa straight will see Signature Homes Waikato/Hauraki new base, adjacent to the entrance to Te Rapa racecourse.
