Morrison Cars opens up in Rangiora
Customers at Morrison Cars Rangiora can expect a competitively priced line-up of individually selected imported vehicles at the new yard, at 636 Lineside Rd, Rangiora.

Morrison Cars has a leading reputation in Christchurch and offers a premium selection of vehicles at its well-stocked yard in Sockburn.

In 2019, Morrison Cars is expanding its operation to North Canterbury with the opening of a spacious new yard in Rangiora on February 1st.

For the Waimakariri District, it is a welcome addition and at just the right time for those wanting to start back into the year with a new or quality used vehicle for their home, farm or commercial business.

“With the growth in Rangiora, we decided it was the right time for us to open a new yard there,” says Mike Morrison, Director of Morrison Cars.

“The site on Lineside Road is perfect for us as a retail base in North Canterbury.”

Morrison Cars will celebrate the milestone by entering all new clients who buy a vehicle in Rangiora into a prize draw to win the equivalent value of their car back in cash as part of an opening deal.

Mike says that customers can expect a competitively priced line-up of individually selected imported vehicles at the new yard, at 636 Lineside Rd, Rangiora. It will hold 120 cars for sale, priced between $7000 and $20,000.

There will also be a great selection of top quality commercial vehicles, vans and light trucks for sale between $12,000 and $25,000. “Ninety per cent of the utes we sell are going out to farms,” Mike says.

“They are such good quality and our prices are very, very competitive.” Whether for city or farm, lifestyle block or offroad adventure, Morrison Cars Rangiora will have a vehicle suited for every need and budget.

The Rangiora sales team of four includes Matt Blair, who will be familiar to many locals through his former business, Matt Blair Motors.

Morrison Cars is known as the home of Mahindra, one of the largest vehicle manufacturers in India and the biggest tractor manufacturer in the world. Mahindra will have pride of place in the new Rangiora yard, just as the brand does in Morrison’s Sockburn yard.

In 2019, the first electric vehicles from Mahindra will also be released to the international market, adding to the choice of EV options.

“I’ve been to India and seen what’s coming – it’s going to be a game changer. The first release is due to arrive here in November or December 2019.”

Sales of Nissan Leaf vehicles are already leading Rangiora’s used car market, so Morrison Cars is anticipating strong demand for Mahindra’s new electric vehicles cars once they are available from late 2019.

Mike founded Morrison Cars 15 years ago, with its team based in Moorhouse Ave for a decade before the main branch was established in Sockburn.

Mike’s brother, Lance, manages much of the retail side of the business and is also heavily involved with Mahindra sales.

Morrison Cars offers quick, easy and competitive vehicle financing and a professional service to make the whole process of buying a vehicle as hassle free as possible; all the more reason to stop by the new Rangiora yard in 2019.
