Penthouses offer luxury city living
Floor plans range in size from 45sqm studio apartments to 55sqm one-bedroom fl exi-apartments and 70sqm two-bedroom, two bathroom apartments with en-suite variants.

An 18th floor was a late addition to Auckland city development The Airedale and adds two penthouse apartments as well as two additional two bedroom apartments to the mix, says Ray White saleperson Norman Markgraaff.

The penthouses offer Auckland city and harbour views, three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a 123 or 128 square metre floorplate. There are also two balconies – one off the main bedroom and another off the lounge.

“With a north facing aspect it is luxury living at its best, says Norman who expects the penthouses to be snapped up. The Airedale is around 90% sold even though it won’t be ready for occupation until April 2019.

Norman says the location has made the development popular combined with an attractive price point when compared with similar inner city developments.

“People can easily take a train to Manukau, a ferry to the North Shore or simply flag a taxi or summon an Uber for a stress-free ride across town giving access to all parts of Auckland easily.

“Both Auckland University and AUT are within easy walking distance from The Airedale and it is zoned for some of Auckland’s fi nest and most reputable primary, intermediate and secondary schools – among them the coveted and prestigious Auckland Boys Grammar School,” Norman says.

The aim of the project has been to give people easy access to the inner city lifestyle that is developing at speed in Auckland.

Each of The Airedale apartments incorporates the latest technologies and design-led innovations to culminate in floor plans that fully integrate service, sleeping, entertainment and relaxation spaces, says Norman.

Large floor to ceiling sliders connect Airedale living areas to sunny north-facing balconies overlooking stimulating city and harbour views while glass balustrades offer unimpeded views.

Kitchens and wet-areas feature custom inspired cabinetry, contemporary fittings and faucets and a full array of quality appliances.

Norman says that all service areas have been executed to the most stringent and fastidious levels of workmanship and specification using only the most trusted names and products associated with the construction industry.

With floor plans ranging in size from 45sqm studio apartments to 55sqm one bedroom flexi-apartments and 70sqm two bedroom, two bathroom apartments with en-suite variants there is a configuration to suit a range of lifestyles and budgets.

The Airedale is around 90 per cent sold and is due for occupation in April 2019.

This has meant the development has attracted a wide range of purchasers, the majority of which are owner/occupiers. Prices start at $750,000 and range up to $1.8m for the penthouse apartments.

Parking is also available for purchase. The Airedale is being constructed by Arrow International and has been designed by Leuschke Group Ltd Architects that have designed numerous high rise projects in the Auckland CBD.

Consulting, building consent and engineering is by Babbage. Norman says that this means that residents can be assured the design and build quality of The Airedale meets or exceeds industry standards.

Easy access to northern, southern, western and eastern motorway junctions and walking distance to trains, buses and ferry services mean The Airedale is conveniently located to each of the access points for Auckland’s satellite cities as it continues to grow and expand to meet demand.
